A lovely Persian restaurant serving a great mix of Turkish and Iranian dishes. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially the Kalana which we had later on in the day as it’s served after 1pm (known as Gözleme in Turkish) freshly made and full of flavour. Their tandoori bread (pide) was also fantastic, warm and soft straight from the oven. They’ve got proper ovens on site, so you’ll find other freshly baked pastries too, which really adds to the experience. The place itself is spotless with a very professional layout and welcoming atmosphere. The ladies serving were genuinely lovely and polite, though their English isn’t perfect, so I’d recommend double-checking your order before they leave the table, just to be sure everything comes as expected. We had a small mix-up, but it was sorted out quickly and with a smile. 🙂 Overall, highly recommended if you enjoy authentic Turkish or Iranian cuisine served fresh and with care. Especially thanking the chef, Loghman, who was very welcoming and friendly. REVIEW after visiting 10 times: We previously left a 5-star review for this place based on our earlier experience. However, this is a more recent and honest reflection of our visits, and unfortunately we have had to reduce our rating to 3 stars. Since our first visit, things have gone downhill. We have been here multiple times for both breakfast and lunch, and on each occasion it has been disappointing. The service is a major concern. While the staff are polite and well-meaning, there seems to be a lack of clarity when taking orders, which often leads to confusion. On several visits, we waited over 50 minutes for food despite the restaurant being empty, which is difficult to understand. Another issue is the inconsistency of the meals. We have visited at least 10 times and have never received the same dish twice as described on the menu. Ingredients are frequently changed or substituted without notice. For example, the breakfast menu lists “sucuk,” but this was replaced with a low-quality chicken sausage that lacked flavour. We also had concerns regarding hygiene and general professionalism. On one visit, a young couple entered with a baby, and the woman went straight into the kitchen without any visible staff uniform or protective clothing. She later came behind the counter where desserts are served and was brushing her hair in that area, which was quite concerning. She then moved between the kitchen and service areas without washing her hands. While she may be a family member, this kind of access and behaviour does not reflect proper hygiene standards. We understand that running a restaurant is not easy, however, we have not experienced these issues at other establishments in the area. There are several places nearby that provide a much more consistent and enjoyable experience. To their credit, the chef was apologetic when we raised concerns, but unfortunately we did not see any meaningful improvement over time. We do believe the chef may be experienced, but the rest of the staff clearly need proper training to improve service standards and avoid repeated order mistakes. Please take this as constructive feedback. Improvements in service, consistency, hygiene, and overall standards are essential. Customers should not feel that their time and money are being wasted. We hope this feedback helps and that the necessary improvements are made going forward.

Deliciously refreshing tiramisu, balanced decent coffee hit. Enjoyed more than competition around the corner who specialise in them. Wolfed down in minutes by both of us. Halal including no alcohol in all cakes Amazing takeaway packaging too. £5/for pictured cake slice n box Lovely service when he woke up One of best desserts eaten in the area, this year up to now....Will go back again for seat in and report. Will recommend to all (Like to see a black forest gateux slice/ or a fruit berry chocolate cake equivalent if possible please)

Here’s a clear and natural English version, ready to post: A clean and well-organised place with very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and all food is halal. The atmosphere is lovely, making it a great spot for breakfast, as well as for enjoying coffee, pastries, and desserts throughout the day. Note: Breakfast is available until 1:00 pm, contrary to what is stated on the website. A great experience and highly recommended.

We came for brunch on the weekend and we were definitely impressed!Nazi was extremely polite and helpful. I have to say that their affogato coffee is a must try!!!It was sooo good! The jelly cake was refreshing and the pomegranate and watermelon flavours were amazing! The omelette and scrambled eggs were very filling and delicious as well. We took a pistachio choux for takeout because we were stuffed and that was very tasty too! Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the lunch menu so we will revisit soon!

recently visited Handaran Bakery and Restaurant in Sheffield, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm, quiet, and family-friendly — perfect for kids. The customer service was exceptional; everyone was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and truly authentic Kurdish cuisine. I tried Kelane (traditional Kurdish bread), Shami Kebab, Kuba, and Falafel all freshly made and full of flavor. The hygiene standards were excellent, and the presentation was beautiful. They also offer fresh Iranian sweets and even have lovely seasonal decorations, like for Halloween. Everything about this place feels genuine and homely. I highly recommend visiting Handaran if you want a real taste of Kurdish and Middle Eastern culture in Sheffield! 🌿🍢🥙
