As a Persian I can confirm that it’s super authentic. The food was amazingly delicious and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back many more times. Thank you for the hospitality and the wonderful service.
We recently took a road trip from Regina to Calgary and were looking for a good place to eat. After seeing the great reviews, we decided to try Persian Plate—and we're so glad we did! The restaurant is small, cozy, and very welcoming. We ordered koobideh and chicken kebabs, along with zeitoon parvardeh and doogh, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Saman's hospitality really made our visit special. He even treated us to a complimentary bowl of must khiar (yogurt and cucumber). Our kids loved the food and the warm atmosphere so much that they kept saying, "We wish we had a place like this in Regina!" We enjoyed it so much that we ordered the same meal again the next day to our hotel—it was just as fresh and delicious. Highly recommend Persian Plate for amazing Persian food and genuinely friendly service!
I’ve been ordering delivery from Persian Plate for a while, but finally went in for lunch with my mom today. The food is always good, but honestly, having it fresh at the restaurant was on another level. Sam the owner was so welcoming and looked after us perfectly. It was such a great experience.
Needed a fix of solid Persian food. We had the platter for 2, the smoked eggplant dip and hummus with pita. Food was quick and delicious! The quality of the grilled meats was excellent, nicely seasoned without too much salt and the rice was fantastic! Important for the rice to be fluffy separate grains. The eggplant had a smoky and slightly sweet mellow taste. The hummus was creamy and not garlicky which is a nice change from that thick crap you buy at the grocery store. Our meats were yummy with steak, chicken and ground beef. A large salad was included which I enjoyed too. My gf took home all the leftovers. Our bill was $73. including 2 fountain drinks. You order at the counter and they’ll bring your food to the table with real metal cutlery and not plastic. Seating is tight as there’s only 6 tables. We arrived Friday at 545pm and it got busy especially with take out orders. Parking is a bit tough out front due to the density of shops here but if you don’t mind walking, you can park further away in the complex with no issues. Simply scan the QR code to register your license plate for free 2 hour parking. Overall, a solid meal and I’ll be back to try more items such as their other kebabs and stews. Support a local business and show these friendly folks some love!
This is a small, cozy family run restaurant serving authentic Persian food. Food was freshly made and tasted good. Lamb chop was juicy. Best part was the French fries, really crispy. Space is quite small and seating is limited. Overall, this is a nice place in NW Calgary to try authentic Persian food.
