⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, making our visit very enjoyable. The saffron ice cream was absolutely outstanding—rich, flavorful, and the perfect ending to a great meal. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back again!
I was passing by the area and needed some takeout for lunch. Googled the spot and saw their high rating. I went inside, the lady at the reception was friendly and welcoming. I ordered their chicken tenders and Wednesday special. Food was delicious. Best crispy chicken I have tried in a while, fries were bit soggy since it is take out after all. Not to forget the sandwich, it was very delicious and full of flavours. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures since I was too hungry to do so. I highly recommend this place.
My partner and I had such a great experience here! The food was incredibly fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The menu had a wide variety of options, so there was something for everyone. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff were so warm, friendly, and welcoming — they made us feel really comfortable and at home. You can truly tell they care about their customers and the quality of their food. We’ll definitely be coming back again! Highly recommend.
Tried the tongue and bandari sandwiches at this Persian-style fast food spot, and both were a pleasant surprise. The tongue sandwich was flavorful, and well-seasoned without being overwhelming. The bandari sandwich had a unique taste, fresh, and nicely balanced spices. Portions were satisfying, and everything tasted fresh. Service was quick and friendly, making it a great option for a fast but different bite in Ottawa. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking to explore something beyond the usual fast food choices. I literally drove from Montreal to Ottawa just to eat at Explosion — and yes, it was 100% worth it. The pizza and sandwiches are on another level. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and that kind of taste you don’t forget after the last bite. This isn’t “good fast food” — this is food you plan a trip around. Every bite felt intentional, satisfying, and honestly joyful. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. No shortcuts, no bland nonsense. If you’re anywhere near Ottawa and you don’t try Explosion, you’re doing yourself a disservice. And if you’re far away? Trust me — it’s still worth the drive.
