I purchased a kilim in Samarkand, Uzbekistan about 4 years ago. A furniture table leg sat on one corner and did some damage to both the warp and weft of the rug, about the size of a two dollar coin. I went to Caspian Oriental Carpets in Victoria, BC to see if they could repair it. Caspian brought in Mohammed Termeh, their specialist in carpet repair. He said it would not be a problem and he told me he would also repair the fringes on both ends. It was done in a month and since I do not live in Victoria,. it was mailed back to me. I tried to find the repair after unpacking the extremely well wrapped parcel, but I had no luck in finding it because Mohammed had done such an excellent job. I found that astounding. I would have no problem recommending Caspian Oriental Carpets and Termeh Rug Services for doing repair work on you carpets. I can only assume that the retail part of selling carpets would also be as good. Dale
Really awesome experience. Lots of gorgeous high quality rugs wool/silk to choose from. Prices were very affordable. Finally found the perfect piece for my home.
Great inventory and lovely saleslady/owner, Shaheen. I always leave with at least one great piece of art at a nice price. And... she makes sure it looks right in your home before you close. Always a 'win win'!
This carpet store has amazing inventory. One thing to note is the address google maps takes you to is incorrect. Google maps takes you to a different carpet store on 8th Ave which is Caspians old location. They are now located on 7th Ave so be sure not to make the same mistake I did.
