I celebrated my birthday dinner at Surens a couple weeks ago. One of my best experiences. I was early and wanted a birthday coconut margarita to start. The server apologized sheepishly that their bartender was not available and he didnt want to mess up the order. I assured him I would be happy with anything and not to worry about getting it right. I appreciated the honesty and the coconut margarita was delicious. My family arrived and we tried the eggplant dip, so delicious. Ordered various kubideh and chicken dishes, when they arrived the food was almost overflowing over the dish, you will definitely not leave hungry. Meat was delicious and still tender. As a bonus, I love Tadeeq (crispy rice desert) but they didnt have it on the menu and I inquired anyway. The server informed me they don't typically make it but he would inquire as it takes some time. At the end of the meal, they surprised my with the tadeeq and it's probably the freshest tastiest I've ever tried. The entire dining experience was amazing and they were so generous with food portions, definitely going back if I'm ever in the area.
Very yummy Persian food. Had a lamb plate with the lentil rice and it was fantastic. Was blown away by the tasty flavours and large portions. Very happy, would come back again!
Suren is hands-down one of the best Persian restaurants I’ve been to in Vancouver! The food is absolutely incredible — authentic flavors, generous portions, and everything tastes homemade with so much care. The kebabs were juicy and perfectly grilled, the rice was fluffy, and the saffron aroma alone could make you fall in love. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the staff treat you like family. You can feel the pride they put into every dish and detail. If you’re craving real Persian cuisine or want to experience something new and flavorful, this place is a must-try!
We visited Suren Persian Cuisine this past Monday. We have been to this restaurant before, and back then, the quality of the food was much better. Our waitress was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive — she made the experience pleasant. Unfortunately, the food itself did not live up to our expectations this time. We started with the smoked eggplant dip (Mirzaghasemi), and it was not fresh. It seemed like it had been reheated in a microwave, which is not suitable for a dish containing egg, and it really affected the flavor. For the main course, we ordered the koobideh kabab because they had a promotion (buy one, get one free). Sadly, the quality of the kabab was awful — it tasted mostly like meat fat. We had tried this dish here before and loved it, but this time it was extremely disappointing. If the restaurant lowers the quality on promotion days, that’s not something customers expect. It’s unfortunate because we really wanted to enjoy a good meal here again. Hopefully, this was just an off day, and they can return to the higher quality we experienced in the past.
Suren Persian Cuisine is an absolute gem in Vancouver! The food was beyond delicious, and the Torsh Chicken Kabab was easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at any Persian restaurant in the city. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced—every bite was a delight. Beyond the amazing food, the service was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the waitress made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed. She patiently helped us choose the perfect dishes and had the warmest smile throughout the entire experience. It’s people like her who make a restaurant truly special and keep customers coming back. If you’re looking for high-quality Persian cuisine with a great atmosphere and exceptional service, I highly recommend Suren Persian Cuisine. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!
