Terrible experience at Haida Plus (Richmond Hill). The cashier was very rude and unprofessional. We were told the food would take under 20 minutes but waited over 40, with no apology. The Haida Royal was awful dry bread, undercooked (almost raw) hot dog, and zero quality overall. Definitely not recommended.

Very disappointing experience. The behavior of the person taking orders was awful. We ordered three Royal sandwiches and were told the food would be ready in under 20 minutes. After 25 minutes, they brought only two sandwiches, and one of them was completely wrong (Bandari instead of Royal). When we pointed out the mistake, it took another 20 minutes to finally get the correct sandwiches. No apology, no accountability, nothing. Terrible service and zero respect for customers. I will never come back here again and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Haida has a great atmosphere and quality food. However, there are major inconsistencies between their sandwiches and menu items. Me and my friend here in the picture both paid the exact same amount and he received twice the amount of meat that I did. This is completely unfair and unjust and shows low attention to assembly and customers. I feel like the businesses has to prioritize its customers. So sad to see Haida like this. Used to be good. Refund please.

We all know and remember Haida as “HAIDA” — well known for its cold cut sandwiches. But when a business decides to add too many new items to the menu, it risks damaging its reputation. Adding coffee, pizza, and burgers doesn’t seem like the right direction for a brand that was once famous for great sandwiches. Today, we visited the place and ordered coffee and croissants — one with Nutella and one with ice cream. After waiting for about 30 minutes (or maybe longer) because the staff seemed too busy handling Uber Eats and online pickup orders, we finally received our coffee and croissants. They were nicely presented but unfortunately not fresh — the croissants were dry. When you pay $14 for one and $9 for the other, you expect better quality. Paying around $45 in total still feels excessive for what we received. On top of that, every time the door opened for customers coming and going, cold air rushed in, making the place quite uncomfortable. I highly recommend that Haida focus on what it was originally known for — great sandwiches — to avoid damaging the strong reputation it once had.

Food: The beef sandwich was excellent — flavorful, juicy, and came in a generous portion. It was easily the highlight of the meal. The Mexican corn, however, was a bit disappointing. It was overly salty and didn’t have enough cheese or seasoning balance to bring out that creamy, smoky flavor you’d expect. Still, the main dish made up for it overall. Customer Service: The staff were polite, friendly, and seemed genuinely helpful. They handled everything with a nice attitude and made the experience pleasant. The only downside was the wait — it took about 35 minutes for our order to come out, which is quite long for a fast-food spot. Vibe: The restaurant has a modern, cool aesthetic — very clean, organized, and stylish without trying too hard. It’s a great casual place to hang out with a small group, perfect for a party of four or five. The atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable, making it a nice spot to unwind and enjoy a meal.
