I chose this restaurant based on the number of reviews, but my experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The food was different from what I usually expect from Persian cuisine. The name and appearance suggest authentic Persian food, but the taste didn’t really match that impression. I ordered the baghali polo with mahiche and found the flavor unusual, and the rice portion was smaller compared to other nearby Persian restaurants. I also noticed that the meat juices had leaked out of the container, which is clearly visible in the photo. The joojeh was noticeably and unnaturally yellow and clearly looked artificially colored, as seen in the photo. Overall, the service felt quite basic. I’m sharing this as honest feedback and hope it helps improve the experience.

The portions are generous, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. What impressed me most was the consistency—each plate tasted fresh, and the staff were gracious, professional, and clearly proud of what they offer. It is rare to find a restaurant that combines hospitality, taste, and ambiance so seamlessly. Mehman Restaurant has undoubtedly become one of my top recommendations in North Vancouver. It is a place where you can enjoy a memorable meal, feel valued as a guest, and leave looking forward to your next visit.
Absolutely delicious! I came here for lunch and everything was perfect — the food was full of authentic flavors, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, perfect for enjoying Persian dishes with family or friends. Highly recommend their kebabs and saffron rice — they’re amazing!
