We went on Valentines day plus there was a 300 thousand person rally happening at the same time. With all the odds against them the restaurant staff front line and kitchen knocked it out of the park. Mehdi and the sweet lady did a phenomenal job working through the rush and our food was absolutely delicious. Thank you and highly recommend this place! Quality & freshness certified with outstanding customer service. Will be back for more delicious eats.
Unfortunately, this restaurant was a disappointment. The service was mediocre from start to finish, and the food was simply not worth the prices charged. The koobideh kebab was extremely bland—so tasteless that it seemed to lack even basic seasoning like salt. The chicken kebab was slightly better, but still far from impressive. We asked the waitress if it would be possible to substitute the rice side with a salad, and she refused and advised that it would be $10 extra. We also ordered babaganoush as an appetizer, which again was very mediocre and forgettable. At the end of the meal, when we requested separate bills for each family, the waitress informed us that because we were a group of eight, a minimum 18% fee was mandatory, as they apparently charge extra for large groups. This was neither clearly communicated beforehand nor handled with any courtesy. Overall, the quality of the food does not align with the prices, and it was disappointing that the waitress’s attitude suggested she couldn’t care less about our experience. Sadly, this is not a place I would recommend or return to.
You can find high-quality and delicious Iranian food at Deedar Restaurant. The staff are very polite, and the atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly. There are also some options for kids. The prices are a little sharp, but we really liked the food and it was worth it. We had a pleasant time with our friends and family there.
It's always a good evening when you combine good food and OLD friends from high school. It's been decades since we first met and our friendships were renewed over some delicious Persian food at Deedar in Thornhill. With just over twenty of us, we kept it simple by ordering large banquet platters that included the following: 🍽 Barg Kabob 🍽 Torsh Kabob 🍽 Shishliks (Frilled Lamb Chops) 🍽 Chicken Breast 🍽 Koobideh Kabob 🍽 Tahdig Basmati Rice 🍽 Assorted Vegetables I hope I got the dish names correct. Everything was delicious, with tender well seasoned meats, fluffy basmati rice, and assorted vegetables. I would definitely come back to try more of their food! We also celebrated a few birthdays in the group. Happy birthday, Friends!
I was in Toronto for over a week and tried many Persian restaurants. Deedar was absolutely the best and I cannot wait to go back to Toronto and visit them again. Our server, Yasmine, was super kind and welcoming. Lots of parking and lots of tables. Cleanest washrooms ever too. The Parvadeh is a must try.
