Delara is one of the most unique Persian dining experiences in Vancouver. It's not your typical "kebab and rice" Iranian restaurant, it's Persian food with a creative, modern twist, and you can tell there's a lot of thought behind every dish. It's also recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, which honestly makes total sense once you try it. I've been here twice. The first time was during lunch with a friend, and to be honest, we didn't love the lunch menu, it just wasn't what we were expecting and didn't feel as exciting. But the second time I went back for dinner (for my cousin's birthday), and it was a completely different experience. The dinner menu is on another level, and the vibe at night feels much more special. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, the service is professional without being "too much," and the food feels elevated while still keeping the soul of Iranian cuisine. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. It's the kind of place where you actually want to take your time and enjoy the whole evening. If you want Persian food but you're also into fine dining style, this is a must-try in Vancouver. Just a tip: I'd personally recommend coming for dinner, because that's where Delara really shines.

This place was truly fantastic! Came here Sunday morning for brunch & was NOT disappointed. My partner ordered the iced coffee & grilled chicken sandwich which were their specials for today, and I got the Braised Beef Gheymeh. The iced coffee had nice warm spices like cinnamon & cardamom I think, which added a nice flavour! The chicken sandwich was quite good as well! Nice flavour & it had a nice lightness to it. My Gheymeh was definitely my favourite. The beef was beautifully tender, the flavours were very balanced, and the yogurt was fresh. They drizzled a house made herb oil on top, which added was quite flavourful. Overall 9.2/10! We’d definitely come back :)

The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience pleasant. We really enjoyed the rice dishes, especially the crispy tahdeeg. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. That said, if you are looking for very traditional Persian food, this may not be the best choice. Some dishes, like the fesenjoon with duck and the charcoal-grilled chicken, have a modern twist that did not appeal to everyone in our group. Overall, if you enjoy creative, modern dishes with classic Persian flavors like pomegranate, walnuts, barberries, and saffron, Delara is worth trying.

I have never had Persian food before and this was a wonderful introduction. I have been visiting Vancouver and had lunch there and wish I had time to return for dinner. It was a great experience. The service was friendly and helpful. The food looked and tasted great. The restaurant had a very warm ambience. I had the best time catching up with my friend while lunching there. I had the Chicken Leg and Barberries and my friend had Braised Lamb Shoulder Sandwich. Then we shared a carrot cake with pistachio. Everything looked amazing. Definitely returning again at my next visit.
