I had the pleasure of working with this real estate team, and I must say their services are truly exceptional. They demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, patience, and attention to detail throughout the entire process. Their guidance prevented me from making the wrong decisions, and they always put my best interests first. Unfortunately, my experience with them was disappointing and unprofessional. This was my second home and I had much better experience before. After closing, I discovered that the previous owner was allowed back into the property without my permission. Despite legal possession having transferred to me, I arrived to find someone inside the home and even he was trying to cut the gas, a serious breach that should never happen. My realtor failed to protect my rights. Beyond that, I was surprised by the complete lack of courtesy. There was no welcome gesture, not even a basic acknowledgment on move-in day, something that most professional realtors offer to show appreciation. It made the experience feel transactional and unwelcoming. On appointment for inspection they came 20 minutes late and sent smile sticker instead of apology. Most concerning was the issue of rebate disclosure. The realtor did not clearly inform me that no rebate would be provided, despite the standard industry expectation , and obligation , to disclose this in writing. According to RECO’s Code of Ethics (Ontario Regulation 580/05, Section 25), a registrant must disclose in writing to their client the nature and amount of any financial benefit they may receive or withhold. This was never clearly communicated, which I consider a serious failure in transparency. I will be filing a formal complaint with RECO as soon as I get some time to ensure this kind of behavior is reviewed. I strongly advise future buyers to be cautious and make sure all financial terms and responsibilities are properly documented.
